Current research project

The ongoing research project conducted by the Ibero American Institute of Best Practices revealed revealing insights into the sustainable development of companies in the Ibero American region.

The life expectancy of new companies in these countries ranges from 3 to 8 years, and in 87% of cases, the failure to use best practices during the scale-up or expansion phase of operations stands out as the main obstacle. It became clear that it is not just the financial or tax issue that interferes with the longevity of companies, but the absence of well-defined policies and procedures, effective risk management and solid governance.

Based on these findings, the Institute in partnership with companies in the Ibero American market, developed the innovative "Triple A" (3A) Certification Program - a revolutionary initiative designed to propel Ibero-American companies to sustainable success.

This certification program is based on three essential pillars: Corporate Leverage, Industrial Anti-Espionage and Data Protection Compliance.

The implementation of well-defined policies and procedures is essential to ensure that all company activities are in line with established guidelines. This helps to establish standards of behavior, reduce risk and increase transparency and accountability. Furthermore, the implementation of these policies and procedures is crucial for companies to comply with applicable regulations and standards, becoming increasingly important in a highly regulated business environment.

Risk management is one of the fundamental pillars of the program, allowing companies to identify, assess and mitigate risks in order to protect themselves against possible financial, reputational and legal losses. By implementing an effective risk management framework, companies strengthen their decision-making, increase business resilience and improve operational efficiency.

Standard ITIL v4 and SLA integration is one of the program's fundamental approaches. This allows companies to better manage their IT services, reduce costs and achieve greater operational efficiency. Following the ITIL v4 recommendations, companies align their IT activities with strategic objectives, offer quality services and, thus, contribute to customer satisfaction and loyalty.

The survey also emphasized the importance of strong governance and compliance for business success. The implementation of a corporate leverage program, which includes project management, IT governance, change management and IS governance, can bring many benefits to companies. These include ensuring regulatory and ethical compliance, managing risk, ensuring operational efficiency and improving decision-making. These practices help companies to operate efficiently, aligned with strategic objectives and in compliance with applicable regulations, allowing for more effective management of IT resources, information security and minimization of the impact of changes in processes and systems.

The survey also highlighted the importance of specific measures such as reviewing contracts, creating a Memo Center for more efficient internal communication, the feedback process to boost employee development, and simulating social engineering and phishing attacks. to improve information security.

The "Triple A" (3A) Certification Program of the Ibero-American Institute of Best Practices is a real milestone for the sustainable development of companies in the Ibero-American region. Through its solid pillars and innovative practices, it becomes an indispensable tool for boosting the growth and longevity of companies, ensuring a prosperous and sustainable future for the business sector.
